FOOTBALL
The team support is awesome and the boys are playing awesome.  The have fought hard to the end, never giving up.  The Homecoming game is Friday October 16th please come out and joins us.  The Football booth at Harvest Meet the Teams did really well.
VOLLEYBALL
They won the first leg and lost their 2nd leg; played Webb on Friday.   There is a game tomorrow.  Pack the Gym is tomorrow, please come out.
CHEER
Their first competition is November 21st.  They have continued to work hard.
CROSS COUNTRY
They are 5th in the entire state.  They won their first league meet.  There is a meet tomorrow in Redlands.  Please come out and root us on.  The State meet is in Fresno – Coach Henning states it takes place the Thanksgiving weekend.  Our cross country team is currently 5th in the State for Division 5.  Division 5 is for an ASB of 500 or less.  Four senior boys are working their butts off.  The second league meet is tomorrow and they have won an invite to qualify for state meet.  They are thinking of the possibility of a Cross Country caravan for State.  It was asked if Cheer could come cheer at cross country.  Their meet is at MT Sac on 10/23 are CIF prelims.  Two more meets on 11/7 & 11/14 at Mt. Sac, they would love to have the support!
FALL/WINTER AD PROGRAM
We had 75 books to sell, we have sold 50, and we have 25 books left to sell.  An Unverified allocation was sent to the liaisons.  The allocation report is unverified because some checks were inadvertently lost.  We are asking that the families replace those checks and once they are replaced the teams will be credited.  Forms were sent to the winter teams.  All winter team ads are due by December 4th.
YARD SALE
There are sign ups for working on Monday evenings receiving donations.  There will be a Saturday drop off day on October 24th.  There will be a drop off day on Saturday October 24th.  The committee workers will only be here if there are people dropping off items.
PACK THE GYM
Tomorrow is ‘Pack the Gym’.  We are working on getting the snack bar ready. .  Tickets are $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. Coach Gabbard is requesting help with court security, money takers, etc.
Please remember that this is Volleyball’s version of a Homecoming game so come out and support our teams.  Parents and grandparents are free for the next two games for volleyball.   Please make sure that the ticket takers are aware of this.

HARVEST/FALL MEET THE TEAMS FEEDBACK
Overall it was thought to be a good event.  It was a good fundraiser.  Some improvements would be to better plan the amount of food sold; some people had to go to the store to replenish.  Don’t put a limit on how much food can be sold.
Sundae Auction –Cheer - Parents were in the booth and didn’t know it was taking place until the auction was finished.  Cash boxes were late, had to turn people away because there was no change.  We’d like to thank everyone for their participation and thought the feeling of community was terrific.
Christine Uttica – Football -  Says she had a lot of positive feedback, the little kids really enjoyed having the big kids working the booths and looked up to them.  There was a lot of school unity.
Jan Cramer- Volleyball - Stated that 5 parents from the community were happy that the high school was there and selling a variety of food.  Thought it was a good night overall, wishes they could’ve sold more food.  The saving grace was the pizza.  Didn’t think that the athletes were spotlighted enough and that the jr. high athletes should have been announced before the high school ones.  Jan also talked about the cash boxes, parents talking time off of work to be at the event earlier as mentioned in a late email on Thursday, the day before the event, with no cash boxes there, smaller change being needed and coins and drinks with food.  She also mentioned that we should think about having two separate events, a harvest festival for the elementary at Little Western where high school could sell food and service that community, and a Meet the Teams at the High School which could pull a lot of business from the surrounding apartment & residential area which is more dense in population than the area around Little Western.  This way both schools can have their events as envisioned.
Renee and Jeff Curtis – baseball - Stated that the baseball booth was in the corner and kind of crammed, would like to see better spacing and demographics. Cash boxes were late. Parents who work took off early to be there on time so it would be nice for the cash boxes to be there; needed smaller change; would prefer to have drinks with the meals.
BUNCO
The night went well, Danny was one of two men there and he won!  It was a lot of fun.  It was the first time doing this.  The prizes were nice.  People would like to see it happen more often. We are currently working on a date for a winter Bunco possibly Dec.4 or Jan 7. It is noted that the basketball schedule doesn’t work either day.  The amount set for the winnings was set beforehand, so it couldn’t be changed, next time the winnings will be determined by the % of money taken in.
LANCER GRUB
Homecoming game we are going to have meatball sandwiches, chicken taco plates, and tri-tip sandwiches.  COME HUNGRY!
ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS
Jan Cramer states they are out there for everyone to sell; this is the last week to sell them.  We are getting 40%, some teams have sold well and will have a nice amount.  The deadline for selling the books is Friday October 16th (homecoming).  All books need to be returned in a ‘NEW’ state.  If they are damaged you will need to pay for it.
HOMECOMING
Homecoming is this Friday 10/16.  Softball is doing 50/50.  It starts at 7:00.  At 6:30 the Jr. High football teams will scrimmage leading to pregame announcements.   There was some confusion at the first game regarding fees for students; we did not know there was anything in the handbook about student being free.  Mr. Yovino is looking into this. There will be s’mores and hot chocolate for $1.00 sold after the game.  Snack bar will be open late for the team to eat.  Please make arrangements with Vivian.  We received our Bon Fire permit today, so the bon fire will be announced starting tomorrow.  Volleyball will cover the late shift of the snack bar.  Window paint will be available on Thursday for kids to paint their cars for homecoming.
SENIOR GAMES
Football, Cheer and Cross Country Senior game will be on November  13th.  Cheer and Cross Country ceremony will take place at half time; Football before game.  Volleyball  Senior game will be November 3rd.  Please come out!
APPAREL
We have a new logo. We sold at Harvest/FMTT and it is selling well.  We ordered Under Armor jackets and polos.  We will take orders if we run out
50/50 BASKETBALL SEASON
The sign ups for 50/50 for the basketball season will be at the next meeting.  The first basketball game is November 24th.
COACH GABBARD
The fall banquet will be held with all teams together here at the campus on December 14th.  The liaisons will communicate with Coach Gabbard.
NEW BUSINESS
Rally Bus – the Baltierra family (Lorraine) will head up the rally bus.  This is solely to promote school spirit.  Bus will go to the away games for all sports.  They will be promoting it and will check with Mary Privett and set up a time for location and set up.  There may be a small fee depending on the amount of people who participate.  Need to check on if it will be a bus or a van.

Pastor Bruce French closed in prayer
