Kristen McCarthy (WCJH Class of 2004) signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division 1 basketball with Temple University . Kristen was a 3-sport athlete at WCJH. Kristen is not only a gifted athlete, but a wonderful young lady, who has visited WCJH frequently to share her experience and skill with current Middle School college athlete hopefuls!!

On the first day of sigining National Letters of Intent to play at the Division I College level, Bishop Amat's returning two-time All-CIF Basketball Player, and last season's All-Valley Player of the Year, Kristen McCarthy signed her letter of invitation from Temple University .
In choosing the Owls, Kristen passed up numerous colleges who sought her talents, not just as a basketball player, but as an outstanding student. Kristen has taken many honors and International Baccalaureate courses in addition to leading her team to the California State Division III Finals in basketball each of her three varsity seasons.
