PROGRAM
Western Christian Preschool is licensed by the State of California, Lic #198004459 and is financed through tuition. The program is non-discriminatory and is open to all families without regard to sex, race and ethnicity. We serve children from 2-5 years old and do not require that they be potty trained. We have small class sizes. We have an “open door” policy in which the parent or guardian is welcomed to come and visit his/her child at any time. The preschool operates year round Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. In addition to the full day program, we offer a half day program from 8:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
A sample daily schedule for the classroom is as follows:

Self Directed Activities-provides opportunities for learning and social interaction. Self-directed centers of interest are set up to allow children to independently choose activities that help them separate and adjust to the beginning of the day. |
8:00–8:45 |
Outside Activities (weather permitting)- Children develop their large motor and social skills during outside play. |

Group time-Calendar, pledges, prayer, Bible story, Bible verses, music/movement, and literacy activities which include phonics/numbers, finger plays, flannel board stories and book reading. |
